. . . . . .
Ok, where do i begin?
Terry and the Sextons began sometime around 1999 i'm going to guess. Formed one Saturday afternoon
in Carl's bedroom while listening to old music from the sixties. The founding members, Carl and Neill
decided it would be fun to form a band to cover old songs and give them a 'punk' edge. Soon afterward
while listening to a record, trying to learn their first cover song and trying to think of a name for the band
they both noticed a name on the record player. It was the name of the owner, made on one of those guns that
have a round dial that you turn to stamp words onto thick tape. One of them read the last name, "how bout...The Sextons?!"
Then the other read the first name, "how bout Terry and the Sextons!?" And in that moment, history was made, they had their
name and their first cover song; The very forgettable 1960's Monkeys Tune; 'Not Your Stepping Stone'. What came
after that is part fact and part legend, but all unforgettable. Unfortunately i don't remember anything after that.
